Big family celebration in the Zecherhalle Neukenroth

With pride and gratitude, REBHAN celebrated its 70th anniversary on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Under the motto “Writing history together”, around 350 guests – employees and their families – gathered in the festively decorated Zecherhalle Neukenroth to honor this special event.
After a warm welcome, Managing Director Christian Abicht opened the celebration with a moving speech in which he reviewed the impressive development of the company.
“When you look back on 70 years of company history, you see countless stories, big and small – full of ideas, challenges, successes, and above all, the people who made it all possible,” said Abicht.

He recalled the beginnings in 1955, when company founder Horst Rebhan manufactured plastic closures in Tettau-Sattelgrund using a semi-automatic machine – laying the foundation for a company that now operates internationally. With the move to Stockheim in 1961, the purchase of the first extrusion blow molding machine, and the steady expansion of the business in the following decades, REBHAN continuously developed into a leading global supplier of high-quality plastic packaging. This development has been characterized by numerous investments, the international expansion of production facilities and sales offices, and the opening up of numerous markets worldwide.

Important milestones in this process were the founding of REBHAN Metallwerkstätten in Kronach in 1981, expansion into Poland (1995) and France (2005), and the introduction of innovative materials such as Glass Polymer® in 2006, which made the company the market leader, especially in the cosmetics segment. Today, REBHAN stands for quality, innovation, and expertise—with state-of-the-art production facilities, energy-efficient processes, and a clear focus on sustainability. Since 2012, the company has been part of Munich-based CERTINA Holding AG and has continued to develop under its umbrella.

In his speech, Abicht emphasized: “70 years of REBHAN – that means 70 years of expertise, quality, and team spirit. We are proud of what we have achieved and grateful to everyone who has accompanied us on this journey. Because REBHAN – that's all of us: yesterday, today, and tomorrow.”

The second mayor of the market town of Stockheim, Mr. Jaros, also conveyed warm congratulations on behalf of the municipality and praised the company's decades-long connection to the region and the importance of REBHAN as a major employer and training company in Upper Franconia.

 

Following the speech, long-standing employees were honored for their service to the company, completion of training, and successful further education.

The anniversary celebration impressively demonstrated what has distinguished REBHAN for seven decades: solidarity, innovative spirit, and deep roots in the region.
